what do you prefer, public transport or car and why?

Nowadays, people seem to prefer using cars to public means of transportation. They have their reason to do so. But in my opinion, since public transport has its own indispensible benefits in the community, it will remain its popularity in the future for the following reasons. Firstly, travelling by public transportation are economical. We can travel from anywhere at anytime with low cost ticket. We do not have to pay a huge amount of money for petrol. It is much cheaper than using cars if I take the price into consideration. Nevertheless, we do not have to spend time finding somewhere to park with this kind of travelling, and we can save a little more money from that. Secondly, we can help protect the environment by using public transport. If people travel in their own cars, the number of vehicles on street is much bigger than if they travel by bus or coach. That means the level of carbon dioxide will decrease if we are travelling in groups on less vehicles.
