the main idea of the text and talk is about glass buildings are too dangerous for birds. the reading states that there are a number of solutions to this problem. the lecture finds this idea dubious, citing three reasons to reject the points in the reading. Firstly, the reading states that regular clear glass is better because the birds can see out. they realize the glass form a solid barrier and will not fly again through it. In contrast, the lecturer mentions that the regular glass is a problem, it reflects like a mirror, and birds can not see the mirror because they see the reflection of trees and sky and birds will confuse. secondly, it was mentioned in the reading the use of colorful lines is suitable. birds can see colorful painted patterns on the glass. While, the lecturer denies it, saying that this way has a problem. realizing fly in between these colorful lines or patterns is too difficult for birds due to the darkroom extremely small inside. Finally, the author argues that creating an artificial magnetic than help bird to find its ways. this instrument makes signals that birds notice its fraction. On the other hand, the lecturer refutes the idea this device is beneficial for navigating long-distance in warm weather or in winter. however, birds have the ability to fly short_ distances from one city to another with eyes light, but it could not determine this single. the electromagnets would have much effect on birds.
