Both the reading and the lecture discuss the Sinosauropteryx and it is feather. The passage states that it did not have feather, but, the lecture strongly argues that is feather. First of all, the reading says that because volcanic activity it's muscle fibre became thin line on the skeleton, it does not meant it had feather. However, the lecture encounter this point by saying that other fossils which they got for some other species are still preserved and it evidence that-the Sinosauropteryx also had the similar kind structure on it is skull. Secondly, the passage claims that usually all the dinosaur had ornamental thinks but it is frill-not feather. The professor refutes this view by explaining that there is lots of different between frill and the feather, for example, the feather has beta protein but the frill does not. Moreover, fossil remains shows that protein structure while examining it. This strongly suggests that it had feathers. Thirdly, reading argues that feather which had were in the backbone and tail-it does not helpful for flight or regulating the internal temperature at any cost. Still, the speaker opposes this statement by stating that it is anatomy had different functions. Further, he gives peacock to support his point which explains that peacock uses it display function like attracting male birds like it might be displayed some similar function. Even, fossils confirm that it is attractive orange color. To sum up, the reading states that it did not have feather because it is decomposition of muscle fibre lines, frills and feather location on the body. But, the professor refutes these points with evidences.
