There are two problems caused by ageing population. First and foremost, ageing population will lead to a shortage of labor. While there are many types of jobs that require a huge amount of young and active labor, a high life expectancy society will not be able to respond to these requirements. Taking Japanese as an example, this country has encouraged foreign workers in recent years to fulfill the scarcity of labor shortage.
