Although measles has 8-14 days incubation period, mumps has 16-18 days incubation period. Measles is unlike mumps because they have differently symptoms. The initial symptoms of measles is constantly runny nose, dry cough and conjunctivitis (red, watery eyes) but in mumps is headache, pain in a salivary gland; gland enlarges and pushes ear lobe upward and outward, muscle aches, tiredness and loss of appetite. Measles and mumps is different from complications. Measles mild complications has ear infections, diarrhea, pneumonia, yet mumps has abdominal pain, pancreatitis, meningoencephalitis, orchitis and oophoritis. In conclusion there are a lot of differences between measles and mumps. However, it important had to take vaccination of this disease to prevent yourself from it.
