The picture illustrates the stages in the life cycle of dragonflies. Overall, dragonfly-pawns hatch into nymphs before molting to become adult dragonflies. To begin with, the female dragonflies deposit eggs on water-plants. In one-week term, they gradually sink into water, and, simultaneously, the eggs become bigger and bigger. Let nature take it course, they then hatch into tiny nymphs. During the period of time living in water environment, this kind of larva grow continuously as well as little by little climb up mosses. The following stage is that developed nymphs molt to achieve their perfect form. Finally, dragonflies have capabilty of flying and hunting smaller insects for a living like their parents.
