statement of purpose for online program 0w5n9
A teacher is not a profession; a teacher is a style of life. This statement reflects my desire for the continuous improvement. I am a teacher of English language in a private school where I work with different students, different levels and age groups. It is a great satisfaction to see how people change their lives by learning a new language: my students obtain different job positions, pass the tests\exams, travel, move to live abroad, present their companies at international conferences, etc. I consider that the initial aim of every teacher is to constantly improve teaching skills, which consequently help learners to achieve their personal goals. A successful teacher should never stop learning, because there is always room for improvement no matter how much experience you have. With this idea in mind, I am eager for learning something new, due to this I have already completed several courses. However, I feel that the possibility to receive a training from well-known American universities will increase my chances to be even a better teacher and provide my learners with the best practice. I believe my past and current experiences have prepared me tremendously to serve as a teacher trainer and now I am moving into the direction of becoming an in-service trainer for my company. The course on Professional Development for teacher trainers would be a great opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge and will be a good starting point. Since we all moved into online teaching, I have started thinking about different ways to encourage, motivate and support learners to learn. The idea of creating an online course which will be supplementary to the main one has always been on my mind.
