I completely disagree with this view because learning another language other than your oother tongue help you gain more oppoturmities to get well paid jobs. Today many international company requirement to eploy someone is that people should have at least ome certificate to express they level of foreign language, especially English. For example, if you do not master this language, you can not contact with your foreign partner. It makes the signing contract become more difficult
