Some people say that students who achieve good should be rewarded. Some say that those who show progress should be awarded.

Rewards are provided to students which excel in studies. Various forms of rewards like scholarships, cash payments or a trophies fulfill the psychological needs of learners. Question arises whether to give it to highest scorer or progressed ones? Toppers show up best of their ability and hard work need to be paid, 10 to 12 hour of study time is not as easy as it looks. Many student performance academy for the recompense only. The intelligence level of few ones is higher from birth, but even then they sit for hours. Various reasons being like competition with fellows, prizes, awards or self actualisation. Mostly, awards are given to highest scorer. This result in hurting the sentiments of progressive children which gave their most of time in learining. It become necessary to honour them. It will help the students to do better for the improvement. For instance, it becomes mandatory for the well-known schools or colleges to give prices for academic excellors and advanced students. In my opinion both must be honoured. Scholarship and prize will assist financially weak people to educate in best university which encourage them to do more than earlier.
