Nowadays, the use of cell phones is at an extremely high rate. Many pupils have at least one of their own that they carry everywhere and use it even during class hours. From my perspective, students should not be allowed to use cell phones during lessons. First, using mobile phones distracts students from studying. Instead of paying attention to the lecture, many pupils spend their time surfing the Internet, Facebook, or chatting with their friends. The students can even be playing games or watching movies on YouTube. If students are not able to pay attention to the lessons, they will not learn anything. Second, cell phones can be used as a medium for cheating. Instead of preparing for upcoming tests by themselves, students can use mobile phones to go to different websites to look for answers. In addition, students can also trade answers with their classmates through Facebook, SMS, message, and other social apps. In conclusion, students should not be permitted to use cell phones during lessons.
