A significant number of development practitioners, who are claiming to be gender development agents, have lack of knowledge of gender (concepts, dimensions, and related other discussions) itself let alone research ethics, methods etc. This is because they are largely from educational backgrounds which are not associated with social sciences, and gender development is the easiest sector to work in - it requires less command over and less understanding of the domain. They dont even try to educate them. They have an attitude such as they know everything about the field, can predict research results.
