The lecturer disputes with the three reasons provided in the reading in support to its claim. His position is that the online graduate course is comparable to traditional courses and does not have short comings. According to the reading, the online degree students do not have the oppurtunity to communicate wth the professors unlike on campus degree. The article mentions that since professors have to be available in the regular office hours on campus students can easily have access to interactting with the teacher. However, this argument is challenged by the lecturer. He claims that even though students and teacher do not encounter physically, they have various mediums through which they can communicate, namely, emails, chatts, telephone conferenced. Furthermore he also adds that it solely depends on the student and his eagerness on how much he interacts with the professor.
