Listening to music while working

Doing your work while you are listening to music is a habit that some of us do it. In my opinion, I think it can have a good or bad effect depending on the work nature and the type of the worker's personality. Some people prefer to work in silence; for those types of people, music can distract or irritate them which can lead then to a decrease in their work efficacy. Some works especially those which are based on teamwork need a quiet atmosphere so whenever there is a need for the team workers to communicate with each other they can do without any noises disrupting them. While on the other hand, listening to music can help to get them to relax. Workouts at the gym, walking every day in the morning, and even doing housework can be easier if you are listening to music. To sum up, it is something that can be helpful or not according to your personality.
