It is a universal fact that education plays a vital role in the development of a country. Not only does country’s progress depends on education but also on multiple key factors such as infrastructure, natural resources and trade. Therefore, I would argue that there are multiple elements besides education in the growth of the country.
Firstly, the infrastructure of a country is of paramount importance which heavily impacts the life standard of people. For example, dams, roads, modes of transportation and electricity to name a few are key infrastructural units. Developed countries have better infrastructure. That’s how, they are performing overwhelmingly well in terms of revenue generation, per capita income and living standard. Consequently, industries and farm yields better products and supply chains work efficiently. For instance, western world has better infrastructure as compared to south-Asia and Africa.
Secondly, A big pool of diverse human resource is also a dominant merit for a country to be categorized as a developed country. Countries who have been spending on providing technical knowledge to general public have seen an exponential growth in their export therefore to their GDP. As follows, China uses its massive population as a plus as it has a world highest skilled population and that’s how they are producing almost every item and exporting to it to every corner of the world.
To Conclude, Although, education is of overriding importance for country progress. There are certainly other key elements such as infrastructure, skilled labor and natural resources which also plays a big role in country’s development.
