Then the listening passage contradicts the ideas of the text about why TED isn't good. First, it is written in the text that using TED isn't an optimal solution for saving mentioned turtles because a shrimp boat catches about one turtle in a month; the professor, however, believes that there are thousands of shrimp boats, and by considering the large scale of these boats, too many turtles will die. The professor also contradicts the text regarding losing shrimps. Second, the text suggests using a time limit for the nets to stay underwater.
