Odabir mjesta za život jedno je od najvažnijih pitanja u životu novog učenika. Danas mnogi mladi ljudi više vole živjeti kod kuće, u obitelji, ne mijenjajući svoj dosadašnji način života, dok drugi vjeruju da s ulaskom na sveučilište osoba postaje odrasla osoba i treba naučiti sama rješavati svakodnevne probleme, snosi odgovornost i stječe potrebno životno iskustvo. Neki ljudi obično ostaju u svom rodnom gradu i nastavljaju svoj život na istom mjestu. Međutim, neki drugi vole doživjeti novu avanturu u novom okruženju. Iz nekih razloga zbog kojih vjerujem da vam novo iskustvo može u potpunosti pomoći u vašem budućem životu. Mnogo ćete uštedjeti živeći kod kuće, čak i ako roditelji odluče da trebate platiti na svoj način i napunite neku najamninu ili doprinesete obiteljskim blagajnama. Jeftinije je kuhati i jesti obiteljske obroke nego ovdje plaćati sitne zalogaje. Položaj mjesta u kojem živite ima velik utjecaj na izbor smještaja.
