The reading passage mailny discusses the advantages of the international work day that can be utilized 24/7 hours for work by collaborating 2 or 3 teams for more efficiency and time effectiveness from different countries. However the lecture denies the advantages and he points out them to be challenges for the teams.
Firstly, the lecturer states that though it may seem an ideal plan but it is not because
from his experience the minor things can lead to a serious problem in the project. For example- the company of U. S could not answered to the Indian company as thay were sleeping at that time, hence the work came in a centered form rather than a paragarph. which resulted in wastage of time due to assumption, as the Indian team was unavailable to answer their question.
Secondly, the professor discards the opinion of cost-effectiveness of this plan, as it consumes a lot of time to solve the problem and compensate that resulted from the assumption due to lack of information when needed.
Finally, the lecturer puts forward the third challenge regarding the division of work into three teams mentioned in the passage. According to him, it is truely a big challenge for the employees of different countries to come together while compensating the problem throgh teleconference because of the different time zones. As they did the teleconference in late night in California when it was evening in U. S and morning in India.
