To Whom It May Concern: My name is Nagarjun Murali and I'm applying for the GREAT Scholarship-India 2020 to assist me throughout my course time studying in MSc Data Science at University of East Anglia. Getting an offer from The University of East Anglia to study further about my field Data science is an incredible opportunity for me and one I intend to seize wholeheartedly without any reservation. Relocating from Madurai, India for the duration of the course does represent a huge challenge and while it is one I am fully committed to, it does present considerable financial challenges. I will be doing my best to not let this affect my involvement and concentration required to learn as much as I can from the course. During my work experience at Cognizant technology solutions, I helped the IT team to create a strategy for reducing the excessive number of phone calls made to tech support by implementing automated solutions in all the computers based on the repeated problems they usually face. Although it was not a high level data analysis task, it did help a lot of people in that working community to solve their issues in a considerably short period of time than before. As a result, I received an overwhelming positive response form the customers because of my solution. This incident actually allowed me to realize, what i wanted to do with my life and how helping people to save time and frustration by fixing their day to day problems gave me an immense satisfaction. The modules offered in the university such as Data mining, Statistics can provide me a significant level of understanding and knowledge about the data analysis and how to introduce them to the real world in terms of applications. This indeed will boost my skills to earn my dream job and allow me to give back to the community by bringing solutions based on data. I am looking forward to my future where I can use my data analysis skills to assist people all over the world. I aspire to spend the first few years after graduation working for an efficient data analytics company. After I have enough on-the-job training to feel confident in my abilities, I will open my own data analytics start-up company in my hometown, where tech companies are very short in number and I want to change that scenario by creating a good platform for the youngsters to work and showcase their talents and simultaneously represent my hometown to the tech world. I have a clear picture of where I will be in the next 10 years, and I know this degree from The UEA is going to help me get there. I will strive to be a representative and ambassador of The University of East Anglia throughout my future career and am very thankful to be able to attend this course.
