IELTS Writing task 1 - Map: development of a university campus kWaEN
The pictures illustrate the layout of a university campus at two different moments. The first one shows the campus in 2006 and the second shows how it looks now. Overall, it can be seen that the campus has been improved and several buildings have been built or enlarged. The university will then be able to provide students with better facilities. Starting with the center of the campus, the lawn and seating area has been removed. However, the lake experienced no changes. Additionally, the shops and restaurant have been replaced by a new student accommodation. In the northwest side, the teaching block for art and science has been changed into the building for arts only. Because of that, the science building has been built across the road, therefore, the university offices were demolished. Next to it, student accommodation has been expanded from two to four buildings. Lastly, in the bottom left-hand corner, the student accommodation has been widened converted into the student facilities, which provide shops and offices.
