It is true that there are a conflicting view about authorities should spend money for top students in universities, and students fees and private sponsors ought to use in all other fees. In my opinion, I do not agree with this point. On the one hand, government funding spend for good students has some benefits. Students will have motivation to study harder and receive scholarship, which all universities apply nowadays. For example, students will be discounted a half student fee, or can have a chance to study abroad… That relates to competition between students and help schools become well-known. On the other hand, using government funding for just top students will receive many opinions. First, instead of spending money for top students, government funding should use for who have difficult situation like do not have parents or can not pay for students fees because of individual problems… Second, students go to school equally, so the money should use for everyone. Not only authorities funding but also student fees and private sponsors will spend for all the students in equal way. In conclusion, government funding should not only be provided for top students, they can combine with student fees and private sponsors to maintain the university.
