Email is a fast and convenient way to communicate, and written letters aren't needed anymore. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Technology has increased at an exponential rate from past two decades therefore, it is argued by few individuals that to communicate, e mail is an effective and fast medium and there is no requirement of handwritten letters anymore. Although I agree and believe that use of e mail is an easy way to write letters, I also say that letters will never lose their importance and will not extinct as well. On the one hand, the use of e mails to communicate is spreading at a fast pace due to the several considerable factors. The foremost one is its time saving. As the letters take so many days to reach to concerned person, this is not the case in e mail. For example, now a days, people get in touch with their near and dear ones through e mail and messages can be sent with in a fraction of a second. Apart from this, security concern is another reason which makes the email more efficient as compare to letters. In other words, e mails reach to the recepient without any risk as there is chance of tempering could happen with the letters. Due to these reasons, e mails are considered as more effective in comparison with letters Apart from the factors mentioned above, letters would remain as an indispensable part of an individual's life, especially in case of elderly ones. Many of the elders across the globe are not familiar with the technology, so in the 21st century as well, they prefer handwritten letters. For example, a survey revealed that in the USA, still 20% of snior citizens like to write letters due to their unfamiliarity with the technologies. Moreover, some think that, expressions and love can be explained in letters in a better way as emails. The feelings are priceless for many people which they write in letters. Due to aforementioned causes, letters are not replaceable with emails. After analysing both sides, I would like to reiterate that although emails are timesaving and good in terms of security purpose, I also hold a valid argument in favour of letters due to old persons eho do not know about technology. With that some feelings can be written in more effective way in letters
