Yes, although it depends. I would say that it really depends on the cities we are talking about. If it’s a first-tier city like a capital or some of the biggest cities in the world like Melbourne, Los Angelis, or Shanghai, they would definitely develop vertically. The reason for this is simple – these cities run out of space for people to live and start businesses in, however people never stop moving in and trying to settle down. This means that they need more space for apartments and residential buildings and the only space available is up. Now, on the other hand, in smaller second or third-tier cities, there is more space to create smaller buildings and private houses. So the big cities will develop up, but the smaller ones will probably go sideways.
