This bar chart is showing the results of a survey conducted to study coffee and tea consumption by Australian people. Y-axis of graph is showing the percentage of city residents and X-axis is showing five cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart) in Australia included in the study. The residents in each city were further categorized into 3 groups (Group 1: People who bought fresh coffee, Group B: People who bought instant coffee and Group C: People who went to a cafe for coffee or tea in) surveyed for last 4 weeks. Overall consumption of coffee and tea is higher (60-65% on average) in Melbourne, Hobart and Sydney as compared to Brisbane and Adelaide. Moreover, it was found that in all five cities, majority of went to a cafe to have coffee or tea with an exception of Adelaide where majority (50%) bought instant coffee. On other hand, buying percentage of fresh coffee was higher in Sydney and Melbourne as compared to other 3 cities. The results showed that minimum consumption (buying and drinking) of coffee and teas was by the residents of Adelaide.
