Since childhood, I had a dream to move to live abroad, as I did not feel at ease. In elementary school, I was the target of bullying, and in older school, I was a strange girl who wanted to jump over her head. So I got an idea in my head - traveling to find soulmates. With the support of my mother, I overcame my fears and began to form thoughts about moving and entering a magistracy step by step. That is why I am applying for the scholarship of Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt School of Management to have an opportunity to gain experience in foreign methods of management in Germany, further develop the acquired competencies and successfully use them in the development of my country.
I was chosen as an Erasmus + student for Skoda Auto University in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic in 2020. I have struggled to face Covid-19 there and I have been one of that small number of students who decided to stay despite risks. I have followed my wish to get as much experience and knowledge as I could. Also, I handled to live there two months more according to the impossibility to enter my own country. In addition, I decided to try one more program and applied for the German exchange program at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, no scholarships were available. However, I managed to find a local one from Bavarian Free State, which let me spend another semester abroad in 2021.
I have always fought for my goals and worked in different places to secure my travels. In my first year, I got the experience of a waitress, both in Russia and abroad, which gave me the skill of communication, finding compromises. In my second year, I did an internship at the Autonomous nonprofit organization "Project office of the Development Strategy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" which works with the local state. This period of work experience was extremely useful as it enabled me to deepen my understanding of management. It was an excellent opportunity to gain work experience in my chosen field and learn how to combine it with the study. Also, I worked in a data marketing company as an analyst in my 3rd year to make money for Germany (since the scholarship did not cover all expenses). Thanks to this experience, I gained willpower, patience, self-control, and the ability to motivate myself in those moments when I want to give up.
