The process begins when bottles is brought to Recycling Center. After that bottles are separated from other types of containers such as glass and metal. In the stage after following this bottles are sorted by color. Third stage, they are pressed into bales approximately 7, 000 bottles per bale. Afterwards, bottles are ready for bringing to Reclaimer Center. Over the course of, 7, 000 bottles per bale are broken apart by a bale breaker. In the stage that follows, plastic is shredded into flakes with machine. During the following stage, flakes are washed, rinsed and dried. Then they are melted and put through extruder. From there, the plastic is formed into pellets.
The process ends when the pellets are sold to manufacturers in order to be used to make fibers for carpet, clothing, nonfood containers and other products.
