The pollution of the environment has been a major issue of the 21st century, with the climate crisis becoming more daunting each day. Some people claim that planting more trees is one solution to this problem. This essay will shed light on the benefits of trees in different aspects. Firstly, as many people have already known, trees or green spaces are crucial to the health of a city’s infrastructure. They are not only helping purify the air but also reduce the need for air conditioning and encourage low pollution transportation. Trees absorb the Co2 that is released from the vehicles and produce the oxygen, this process makes the temperature go back to the balanced status, not too hot and not too cold. Moreover, trees play a vital role in the health of its citizens because more and more people nowadays are facing respiratory diseases which are directly caused by air pollution. These creatures could reduce chances for having bronchitis and diminished lung function or respiratory system. Secondly, this benefit may surprise most people but green spaces are good for our mental health as well. Plants could increase attention spans and decrease stress levels. Scientists have concluded that patients recover faster when looking at the view of trees compared to those who look at a brick wall. This may be obvious to most people but when you go to a park which is surrounded by trees and plants, you will definitely feel more fresh and comfortable. And our mental health is significantly affected by our physical health. If we are happy our body may neglect all the existing stress and vice versa. It is similar to the domino effect. In conclusion, trees and green spaces have a positive impact in many aspects in our lives including health care and the natural environment. They are not only essential to our physical and mental health but also they are an integral part of the lives of earth.
