water usage and consumption around the world and in different countries Xnk3O
The graph here represents the global water usage by sector; agriculture, industrial and domestic usage. The data shows the usage from the year 1900 to 2000, represented on the x-axis and the use per thousand km3 on the y-axis. Use of water in the highest in agriculture sector starting from 500 km3 in 1900 and constantly increasing up to 3000km3 in the year 2000. We can see a increase in both industrial and domestic use, but it is not as significant as in the agricultural sector. Domestic and industrial use started at the very bottom and rose up to 200km3 to 1000km3 respectively. The gap interval between agriculture and the other sectors is quite large given the nature of work. The table shown here demonstrates water consumption in two countries; Brazil and Democratic Republic of Congo. It shows water consumption per person. The first column represents population of both the countries. 176 million and 5. 2 million in Brazil and Congo, respectively. The second column shows irrigated land. And the third and final column shows us the water usage per person. Water consumptions in brazil is 359 m3, and 8m3 in Congo. The use of water is greater than Congo due to the high population and larger irrigated land.
