Overall, we can clearly observe that England had the highest ratio of unemployment in 1982 and lowest in 1995. Looking into the details, we can see that there was a dramatic growth in the unemployment rate of England from 12% in 1980 to 18% in 1982 and touch the peak of the table. decreasing from 18% to almost 8 %, it fell dramatically during 1982 to 1983 which was almost half of the peak ratio. Following that, it remained almost static until 1985.
