Both of the maps illustrate the transformation of a coastal town which is also known as Pentland almost over than five decades between 1950 and 2007 The comparison between two periods depicts noteworthy developments. There’s a lot of building such as residence area and other facilities were constructed in 2007 as more people moved to Pentland As a whole, the main road with two bisecting roads stays the same. The industrial area that was situated in the northwest region was demolished in 2007 and it has been replaced by multi-storey car parking. Nearby the parking site, swimming pool was added and six shopping centres were built alongside the main road. After that, in the southwest region, the cinema has been established on the grassland.
