Three maps represent the development of the area where Queen Mary Hospital situated over 40 years. Overall, the area saw significant changes between 1960 and 2000. In 1960, the main road was running in front of the hospital and shopping centre which located next to the car park and farmland respectively. Over the past 20 years, the shopping centre was demolished and replaced with a cancer centre and pharmacy. However, the pharmacy was joint with the hospital. Furthermore, the government knocked down farmland and built the nursing school, nevertheess, car park remained untouched. During 20 years, between 1980 and 2000, the site witnessed dramatic modifications. Initially, the cancer centre was reconstructed as well as expanded which caused to diminish and relocate the nursing school. Moreover, as per the increase in the size of the cancer centre, the zone of the car park was dwindled
