These pie charts show the proportion of the world's population living in urban and rural areas in 1990 and the forecat for 2025

The pie charts illustrated that the percentage of the world's population living in the city and countryside in 1990 and the prediction in 2025. Considerably, the percentage in developing world changes much. People have been moving from countryside to city. While in developed world, the changes is not significant. In 1990, there were more than 50% people was living in rural area in the third world. While only 25% was stayed in the city, which is half as much as people living in countryside. However, in 2020, there will be a marked change. People living in rural area will drop to 37% only, which will be reduced almost 20%. At the same time, there will be almost 20% increment in moving to urban area. It will almost reach half of the population. In other words, prosperous city will change from 6% to 4% and 17% to 13% in population for rural and urban area respectively.
