The charts shown represent how much, percentage-wise, each industry contributed to Turkey’s economy in the years 2000 and 2016. Overall, in the year 2000, the agriculture sector contributed the most of all the sectors, while construction contributed the least. On the other hand, in 2016, the healthcare and education sector made up the largest portion and finance, business and other made up the least. Throughout the 16 years, the construction sector has seen more than a three-fold increase in its percentage to one tenth. While trade, utilities, and transportation, finance business and other, and manufacturing saw a 2, 3, and 4% increase respectively. On the other hand, the agriculture sector plummeted by 10% from almost a quarter to 15%. In addition to agriculture, both the government and leisure and hospitality sectors fell by 3%. Lastly, the healthcare and education sector remained the same throughout the 16-year time period at 17%.
