Looking at the first map in more detail, it can be seen that the city hospital was surrounded by Ring Road which was connected to City Road by Hospital Road. There were six bus stops along Hospital Road. Three of these were on the eastern side of Hospital Road, and three on the western side. There was also a car park on the eastern side of Hospital road, for staff and the public. The second map shows that the intersections between Ring Road and Hospital Road, and Hospital Road and City Road were converted into roundabouts. A new bus station was built to the west of Hospital Road, with direct access to the roundabouts. The six bus stops were removed. The old car park was only used by staff, and a new car park was built to the east of the city hospital.
