The given line graphs illustrate the trend of smokers and the alcohol intake in specific nations from 1960 to 2000. Overall, the number of smokers tended to fall throughout time, unlike the consumption of liquor, which increased rapidly except for the USA. In 1960, in terms of smoking patterns, the USA was accounted for having the highest rate of smokers with almost 60%, followed by Japan and the USA, which is around 48% and 40%, respectively. After being stagnated, Holland experienced a dramatic drop to about 43% in 1980, then continued to decrease at the same rate as Japan to approximately 47% in 2000. The lowest rate of smokers was in the USA, with merely 22% at the end of the surveyed period. Turning to the litres of alcohol consumption, Holland rose dramatically from abo0ut 3. 8 litres to 15 litres, which held the highest rank among countries in 1980. Likewise, the USA also increased significantly from 7. 9 litres to nearly 10 litres. Thereafter, both nations declined gradually to 2000. In contrast, the litres of consumed alcohol did not fall but rather grew from 0. 8 litres in 1960 to 1. 6 litres in the end.
