As it can be seen, key changes were witnessed in Clothing as well as Electronic and Home appliences. In 2019 grocery products made up 14% of total online sales, showing significant rose by 8% after a year while online selling of electronic devicesthrough e-commerce platformsjumped from 26 per cent to 45 per cent in 2020 reaching the top slot. During the same year, significant fall witnessed in the sector of home furnishing from 25 percent to 15 percent, transitioning it from the second-largest retail sector in the first year to the smallest sector in the second year in proportion of online sales. Meanwhile, trade ofclothing fell by 16 percent and comprised 22 percent of total reaching the same level of food selling. Overall, in 2020 Canadian preferred to buy more electronic devices when the Home and Kitchen appliances were the least preferred.
