The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981, 1991 and 2001. R108
The three given pie chart provide information about the expenditure in a year made by a British school every ten years from 1981 to 2001. Overall, the categories, which experienced a noticeable increase of spending, are insurance, teachers salaries and finally furniture and equipment. On the other hand, the amount of many spent for other workers’ salaries and resources dropped drastically. The first result worth pointing out is the trend followed by teacher’s salary as it was reported to be at 40% in the 1981, then it showed an upward hitting the highest point ten years later and, finally, the spending decreased to about 45%. Therefore, another category that reported a general positive trend with a drastic decrease in 1991 (5%), is furniture and equipment, at a ratio of 15% in 1981 and 23% in 2001. In stark contrast, other workers salaries fall about 6% every ten years starting from 28% in 1981. Finally, resources such as books increased from 1981 (15%) to 1991 (20%), and then it had a sharp drop, the percentage almost halved (9%).
