Looking at the data more detail, the lone parent was the smallest portion of Canada household types in the first period accounted for 4% and the dependent children was the biggest one. However, the trend had changed through the period that the dependent children was the biggest and the non-dependent children was the smallest, which represented 36% and slightly below a tenth respectively in the last period. One person types was in 6% in 1984, then increased steadily through the period and finally touched its highest percentage in 2014 and 2020 accounting for roughly above 10%. In the same trend, no children types was 19% in 1984, then inclined significantly over the period until achieved the highest percentage of a quarter in the last period.
