In 1960, the average age of bride was 21 years, but it slightly increased to 23 in 1970 and 25 in 1980. In 1990 and 2000, the age of bride steadily increased to 27 and 30 respectively. The average age of groom was 24 which sharply go up to 32 years from 1960 to 2000. Overall, it can be seen that, civil marriages rose, while the religion marriages fluctuated over the period of four decades. The average age of marriage of both genders also increased during the given time period.
