The table illustrates how much money Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese spent on different goods in 2008. Overall, consumers from China spent a lot on fast food, drinks, watches, and shoes. Despite having more than 1 billion people, the money spent on leisure activities and study purposes of Chinese is still lower than Japanese and Vietnamese.
On the first hand, the amount of money spent on foods, shoes, and watches were much higher than those on activities and study purposes. Having about 100 million people, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam had the same amount of money spent on mentioned demands. The citizen expenditure on foods of countries exclude China were 16, 36%, 18, 8%, and 15, 77%, respectively. Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese spent about 5, 93%, 5, 51%, and 5, 4% on watches and shoes, respectively.
On the second hand, leisure activities and education were aspects that people paid the least. Thai and Vietnamese spent almost the same percentages of money as each other. Thai paid 3, 2% money on education while Vietnamese spent 3, 22% for equal purpose. Chinese, however, only invested 2, 21% of their money on education and leisure activities. Japanese spent only 1, 98% on the same field.
