The table illustrates the proportion of people asssessing six aspects of one city’s life as good in 2006 and 2016. Overall, education, employment opportunities and shops were given the highest scores in both years, and living environment recieved the lowest scores. Meanwhile, medical services’s rating rose over the period, while that of public transportation fell. In 2006, people rated education, employment opportunities and shops the highest, with over 80% approving of employment chances, while the other two had figures approximately of 77%. As for medical services and public transport, both had the percentages over 50%, as 54-64% respondents expressed approval. Only 46% of those surveyed gave the lowest marks for living environment. Turning to 2016, the most significant changes were seen in living surroundings, as over 50% residents were happy with it, and in employment situation which good rating declined to 52%. The medical services improved, as in 2016, almost 68% of those asked expressed satisfaction. In contrast, approval of the transport facililties dropped to 37%, and a similar proportion stated it was bad. Finally, with regard to the school systems and shops, their approval levels both had a slight decreased 72-65%.
