Overall, it can be seen that making phone calls was the most commonly used feature over the period shown. However, other functions witnessed tremendous growth in the use for searching the Internet and recording videos. In each of these years, the use of mobile phones for calling was significantly higher than the other six functions, with 100% usage levels in both 2006 and 2008 and 99% in 2010. The second and the third position belonged to texting massages and taking photos with 73% and 66%, respectively. Whereas searching the Internet and recording video shared the lowest point with no figures. In the next four years, there was relatively slight change in the figures for the top three mobile phone features. However, the proportion of people using their phones to access the Internet jumped to 41% in 2008 and then to 73% in 2010. There was also a significant rise in the use of mobiles to play games (41%) and to record video (35%) in 2010.
