In general, any execution involving dancing, singing, playing musical instruments and performing had the highest degree of support, with 22% of the respondents participating in the past 12 months. By distinction, computer based exercises had the lowest degree of support – 6%.
Groups of people aged 45 and 74 years old were more likely to attempt to do something related to arts -22%, while activities were more likely to take place among 16 and 24 years of age – 35%. The disparities among age ranges were particularly marked in the visual arts and writing categories, where participation rates were around three times higher for teenagers than for older people. It is clear from the data that age plays a major role in the success of the mentioned cultural activities.
