The table compares the proportion of female and male devided 5 age groups in a certain town in term of cycling in 2011. From the table, overall, it is clear that the rates of girls and women were always higher than boys and girls. Moreover, children of both genders under 9 years old rode bicycle the most. Just over half the number of boys and girls rode bicycles in age group 0 to 9, and this figure still kept high in girls group aged from 10 to 17, the rate of cyclists declined by over half to 24, 6%. The percentages in 3 next age groups were much lower. In group of 18 to 39 years old, merely 17, 15 of women cycled, compared with 9, 7% of men. Between the ages of 40 to 59, the figures fell further. to 12, 3% for women and 8% for men. Neverthless, the ratio of cyclists who are under 60 then rose significantly, made up 18, 5% for women, compared with 13, 2% for men.
