The table provides sales data of renowned automobile companies namely Nissan, Ford, VW, GM motors in India for the year 2015. It is evident from the statistics that the number of exports is significantly higher than domestic sales. GM India saw the highest export growth in 2015 when compared to the other automobile companies. It shipped more than 37000 units internationally that year. Nissan India exported 111, 612 units and became highest exporter of the year. However, their export growth was 7. 25 less than the previous year. Ford India was slightly behind Nissan with an export of 110, 840. Nevertheless, its growth rate was 35. 80, which was almost double that of VW’s. VW had exported almost 76, 000 units in 2015. In contrast, the domestic sales of Nissan, VW, and GM were in the range varying from 32, 000 to 42, 000. Ford India had crossed the 79, 000 mark thereby becoming the highest seller of domestic cars.
