This bar graph demonstrates the CO2 emissions caused by the different forms of transportation in the European union. As for the pie chart, it illustrates the funds that’s being given to the various forms of transportation.
As displayed, passengers’ cars emit the most amount of CO2, around 150 grams of CO2 per Passenger. When compared to buses, around 50% of decline is shown. Coaches show the least amount of CO2 emission, less than 50 grams of CO2 per passenger.
The pie graph shows that 52% of the European union fund was spent on roads. Whereas, airports, inland waterways and intermodal got 1% of the funds each.
Public transport had 10% of the EU funds, Railways on the other hand had 31% of the European union funds.
In conclusion, most of the European funds went to roads even though passenger cars are not the cleanest source of transportation. The least funds were spent on airports with airplanes emitting the most amount of CO2 per passenger. Ports were funded only 2% although ships are the cleanest source of transport.
