Overall, customers expended the maximum amount of money on food, drinks and tobacco, while the minimum quantity was observed in leisure and education throughout the time period. In detail, Ireland and Turkey reached the highest peak of approximately 30 % in food, drinks and tobacco. in 2002. However, this figure decreased moderately in Spain and made up 18, 80%. There was a slight reduction in Italy and Sweden, standing at 16, 36% and 15, 77% accordingly. On the other hand, in Italy buyers spent 9% on clothing and footwear, otherwise, this indicator reduced sharply and constituted nearly 6 % in Ireland, Spain and Turkey, 5, 40% in Sweden in 2002. Turning to another segment, the lowest expenditure was accompanied in leisure and education. This figure for Ireland was equal to 2, 21%, hence, this quantity doubled and amounted to 4, 35% in Turkey.
