The table compares the proportion of consumption on 3 distinct fields in 5 nations in 2002. Overall, it is clear that the amount of money spent on food, drinks and tobacco was the highest while the least money was used for leisure and education. It is interesting to note that Turkey was the most popular country in expenditure on 3 areas. In the food, drinks and tobacco’s column, we can see that the percentage of Turkish citizens accounts for a significant part, at 32, 14%. This is followed by the figure for Ireland with 28, 91%. Three nations: Spain, Italy and Sweden had the quantity of spend on these products were almost the same, at 18, 8%, 16, 36% and 15, 1% respectively. In the second’s category, the major proportion of expenditure on those was Italy’s with 9%. Four remaining countries had the rate spent on footwear and clothing were under 7%: 6, 63% Turkey’s, 6, 51% Spain, 6, 43% Ireland and 5, 4% Sweden. By contrast, All nations expenditure on leisure and education at least money, at the top of list countries was Turkey with 4, 35%. The proportion of consumers spent on those in Sweden and Italy were the same, around 3, 2%, on the second and third position.
