The table given presents the main means of transportation in London in 2015 and shows information on the number of trips, the distance each of them travelled and the number of accidents reported. As we can see, for the most part Londoners used the bus, cars, the underground, and bicycles. First, it is important to notice that in the second and third column the numbers are in millions. So, the number for most trips was 482 million and they were done by car, followed by the underground which accounted for 346 million trips. The distance travelled by car was 526 million kilometers, a fact that makes it the most popular way to travel. On the other hand, bicycles were the least popular since they were used only for 14 million trips and travelled 72 million kilometers. Out of the four means of transportation, the underground was the safest in 2015 and widely used at the same time. All in all, the residents of London used mostly cars for their travelling, which were also the most dangerous way of transport with 1424 accidents in a year, which means they were responsible for two thirds of accidents in London. At the same time, bicycles were the least used, but safer compared to cars, whereas the underground was the safest.
