In addition, the rate of tourists visiting the said country showed a dramatic increment from 1976 to 1989 with an exception where a stable trend was recorded in 1976 to 1977. It is clear that the number of visitors had a 7 fold increase by the end of the study period.
Most of the tourist who travelled to Cyprus stayed for less than a month with the highest recorded figures in 1988 at 93. 9%. Meanwhile, those whose length of visit ranged from one to two months, where only between 4. 1-13. 1% in the 1977 to 1988. Those who stayed for two months and an unknown period of visit in the region gathered the smallest percentage which is all equal to or below 5. 1%.
