The provided bar chart delineated the usage proportion of citizens of a European country in three different years with a 20-year gap- 1960, 1980 and 2000. What can be seen from the graph is that cars and busses as a transportation showed an opposite trend in their popularity. Initially, in 1960 the most preferred mode of transportation was a bus, whereas the reverse was true for a car which was the least preferred one. In the same year, approximately, 17 percent of people used the train, while 27 percent of them used the tube to commute. After a 20-year time span, while the number of commuters who went to and back office by car increased more than threefold and reached about 24% from 7%. The adverse pattern was observed in the usage of bus which had decreased by 10%. The gap between train and tube was not so wide ( nearly 5%). The last year, in 2000, a number of goers by car saw a massive amount of growth and stood at 37%, while the quantity of travels by bus experienced the opposite as the figure for this dropped to 15%. The usage proportion of both train and tube were not able to exceed 25%.
